Workshop

CFE’s Annual Teachers as Leaders and Learners Workshop is one of the only city-wide events facilitated by and for Chicago-area teachers. Each year, it offers PreK-12th Grade educators the opportunity to share effective teaching practices and collaborate with colleagues.

 

Register here for this CFE's 2017 Teacher Workshop – "Rise & Thrive: Empowering Our Students and Each Other" – which will be held on Saturday, October 28th from 8:00am-1:00pm at Whitney Young High School. 

 

The Opening Session at this year's event will include a Panel centered around the theme "Emotional Intelligence in Schools: The Needs and Benefits". Our Panel is composed of several bright and engaging Chicago-area professionals; we hope you will join us!

The 27th Annual Teachers as Leaders and Learners Workshop: Pedagogy, Purpose, and Passion: It Starts with You! was held on Saturday, October 24th, 2015.

  • Opening Remarks by Maisha Wynn, a public speaker, lifestyle specialist and media personality. 
  • Resource Fair featured 16 Chicago-based cultural & education organizations.
  • Gift Bags and FREE teacher raffle featured the following grand prize items and more: $250 Nike Gift Card, two $250 Neiman Marcus Gift Cards, teeth whitening package form Mitchell Dental Spa, tickets to Heir Apparent at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater and tickets to The Nutcracker at the Joffrey Ballet.
