The Chicago Foundation for Education's Associate Committee is actively engaged in supporting all aspects of CFE programs and development. Founded in 2011 by a group of young professionals interested in making a sustainable impact in a nonprofit setting, ongoing activities include:
- Planning the WhirlyBall Tournament (Winter) and the Toast to Teachers Happy Hour (Summer)
- Reviewing teacher grant applications
- Visiting schools to observe award-winning teachers
The Associate Committee meets regularly for various events and holds conference calls throughout the year. The Roles and Responsibilites of AC Members can be found here. We ask that members volunteer regularly and attend at least two of the Committee’s main events.
Membership to the committee is by application and interview process. We are accepting applications for the 2018-2019 year. Please fill out our online application and we review your application, we will schedule a time to meet with you individually or with a group to learn more about your interest. For more information about CFE or the process for joining the committee, contact CFE.

Climb for Kids!
On Saturday, May 28th, 2016 CFE's Associate Committee members, their friends and other supporters met at Brooklyn Boulders for an afternoon of climbing adventures. Some were new to climbing and others were more seasoned, but all had a great time. Check out pictures of the event on our Facebook page.
